Tech Tips: Why do I not receive a copy of email I send to groups?

This question has been asked a number of times since the move to our new email system. With this system, you will not receive a message you send to a group that you are a part of. For example, if you send a message to fwp-announcements@fwparker.org you will not receive a copy of the message in your Inbox even though you are a member of the group as well. If you want to continue to receive the message as a way to verify that it was sent, simply add your email address to the to:, cc: or bcc: fields. This will guarantee the message will be sent to you as well.
